About

Being a child-centred service means putting children’s rights and well-being at the centre of all clinical decisions.

The physical space at Child-Centred Sydney was purposely designed to meet child-centred play therapy guidelines —and their adaptation for older children, activity therapy.

While I see children individually, caregiver involvement is a crucial part of a child’s treatment. Therefore, every five client sessions, I meet with caregivers to discuss progress.

My mission:  Supporting children’s emotional growth as new neural pathways are formed, leading to lasting change.

As a treating clinician, I do not write court reports, because that can destroy the child’s trust in the therapist and the process. My job is to protect the therapeutic relationship and the child’s confidentiality.

A forensic psychologist is typically the appropriate professional to engage for court reports.

My vision: A more mindful society that values and respects children’s rights.

Mental health practitioners are required to engage in career-long supervision to ensure they operate within professional standards and maintain ethical boundaries.

In addition to individual supervision and professional development, I attend group supervision at the Family Psychology Practice, where I am an independent contractor.

Personally, I am a parent of two adolescent children. I am also an animal lover who enjoys connecting with nature.

Languages spoken: English and Spanish.
